Meet the President
Dominic Romain
CFP, Cert. F.A., FSS, LUTCF
Dominic Romain holds several leadership roles, including President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Insurance Financial Advisors and Director of the Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. As an Incorporated Agent with Guardian Group, he serves as the Managing Director of I2I Consultancy Limited, specialising in business continuity, succession planning, estate planning, and investment portfolio management.
Mr. Romain is also an online lecturer at TTAIFA, where he teaches courses such as “Foundations of Estate Planning” and “Essentials of Business Insurance.” He is dedicated to helping shape financial security and business growth for many young advisors in the industry.
In 2025, Mr. Dominic Romain was elected to the House of Representatives in the 13th Republican Parliament as the Member for Malabar/Mausica. This significant achievement reflects his dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to public service.

Executive Committee
Has the power to act on behalf of the Board of Directors where, in its opinion, it would be inadvisable to delay action until the next meeting of the Board.
Finance Committee
The Executive Committee acts as the Finance Committee and in an advisory capacity to the Secretary/Treasurer in carrying out the duties assigned.
Membership Committee
Exercises sufficient powers to promote the best interests of the Association in matters pertaining to membership.
Publicity and Information Committee
Responsible for bringing to the attention of members and the general public, all such facts and suggestions which in the opinion of the Board should be given due publicity.
Taxation & Legislation Committee
Shall treat with all matters pertaining to taxation and legislation which relate directly or indirectly to the institution of the financial services sector and the Association in particular.
Ethics & Practice Committee
Shall treat with all matters pertaining to ethics and practice which relate directly or indirectly to the institution of the financial services sector and the Association in particular.
Marketing Committee
Responsible for a programme of continuing research and the dissemination of information concerning agents’ remuneration, industry practices and the quality-of-life insurance services offered to the public.
Education Committee
Gives direction in the development of basic and specialized courses; in regulating revision of text material, preparation of exams and general administration of the education programme in the continuing training and education of advisors.
